Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 May 2026
Welcome to TickBucks. TickBucks is a virtual pocket-money and chore tracker operated by Nunlimited("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using TickBucks, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What TickBucks is — and is not
TickBucks lets a parent set up chores for their children, lets children tick those chores off in a kid-friendly dashboard, and tracks a virtual balance ("TickBucks") earned for each completed chore. It also tracks savings goals, streaks, and badges.
TickBucks does not move real money. It is not a bank, payment service, e-money issuer, prepaid card, or financial product of any kind. When a child "cashes out" a balance, the parent fulfils the reward in real life however they choose (cash, a treat, an online order, etc.). Nunlimited is not a party to that real-world settlement.
2. Eligibility and accounts
To create a TickBucks parent account you must:
- be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction);
- have the legal authority to set up an account on behalf of the children whose profiles you create;
- provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including everything your children do in the kid dashboard you unlock for them.
3. Child profiles
Child profiles are created and managed by you as the parent. You control the nickname, avatar, theme, emoji PIN, chores assigned, rewards offered, and any approvals. By creating a child profile you confirm that you have the right to do so on behalf of that child and that you will introduce the service to them in an age-appropriate way.
You can edit or delete any child profile at any time from inside the app. Deleting a profile removes the data associated with that profile.
4. Virtual balances and real-world settlement
Balances inside TickBucks are virtual. They have no cash value, are not transferable outside the app, and cannot be redeemed against Nunlimited. Any real-world reward or settlement is solely between you and your child.
You are responsible for the rewards you choose to associate with chores and for explaining to your child what those rewards mean in real-world terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use TickBucks for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive;
- try to access another family's data, break our security controls, or interfere with the service;
- scrape, copy, or resell substantial parts of the service except as expressly permitted by these Terms;
- misuse child profiles in a way that could harm a child or misrepresent their participation;
- attempt to reverse engineer the service except where the law specifically permits it.
6. Pricing
TickBucks is currently in public beta and is free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we will make the price and terms clear before you commit, and any features you already rely on will remain accessible in a free tier or with at least 30 days' notice.
7. Service availability and changes
We work hard to keep TickBucks running, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including during maintenance, security incidents, or to improve the product.
Because TickBucks is in beta, some features may change or be removed. We will try not to lose your data, but you should not rely on TickBucks as the only record of anything important.
8. Intellectual property
TickBucks, including its name, logo, design system, and software, is owned by Nunlimited and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service in line with these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you create inside the app (custom chore names, rewards, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content so we can provide the service to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using TickBucks at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if continued provision of the service would expose us or other users to legal or operational risk. Where practicable, we will let you know before we act.
On termination, the licences granted in these Terms end and your family's data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. TickBucks is a tool to help families, not a financial, educational, or parenting professional service.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with TickBucks, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, except where that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which they live.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice — for example, by email or through the app — before the new Terms take effect.
